Keep SLO sales tax

The streets of our and many other San Luis Obispo neighborhoods have just received a slurry seal treatment and they look great. And the treatment will extend the life of the pavement, reducing longterm maintenance costs.

Many thanks to the San Luis Obispo City Council, Public Works Department and the contractor, American Asphalt.

This kind of preventive maintenance is only possible if a city is properly financed. Sales tax is a big part of the city’s financing, and unlike many other city taxes, it is paid by visitors as well as residents. Measure G just continues the current sales-tax rate. I hope San Luis Obispo voters will vote yes on Measure G.
