Wrong Ebola czar

I feel President Barack Obama missed a great opportunity to recoup some of his lost credibility and give confidence to the American public about the Ebola crisis by appointing a political crony as an Ebola czar rather than someone with credibility and a medical background.

The ideal candidate would have been former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner David Kessler. Kessler has both a medical and a law degree, a proven track record of public administration and the courage to make hard and unpopular (but necessary) decisions in the public’s interest. Because of him, we have the standardized, easy-to-read and useful ingredients labels on the food products we consume.
