Letters to the Editor

Set record straight

When a progressive has no facts, they vilify and misrepresent their opposition as directed by Saul Alinsky in his handbook “Rules for Radicals.” Fourth Rule states that ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Let me do it with truth and real facts.

I take offense to the ridicule expressed as opinion in a letter to the editor dated Oct. 2 titled “No Substance.”

The writer misrepresented Lynn Compton’s position and qualifications, stating that she would not debate her opponent. Fact: Lynn participated in seven public forum/debates, including one Oct. 10. Hardly worth ridiculing.

I know Lynn’s positions, as I have heard her during public debate numerous times this past year. I wonder where “No Substance” has been.

Vote for Lynn Compton on Nov. 4! She will support we the people.
