Ray good for business

Caren Ray

Caren Ray is all about experience, leadership and accomplishment. In addition to being a county supervisor for the past year, she has held an additional 14 community government and service positions over the past decade.

Caren’s accomplishments include fiscally conservative control over government spending, small-business and job growth, and protecting and enhancing the quality of life in San Luis Obispo County.

One of her first tasks was balancing our county budget with no tax increases during our recent recession. As a board member for the Economic Vitality Corporation, she helped create and save over 400 jobs, while leveraging $8 million in bank loans for small businesses. County unemployment has dropped significantly during her first year in office.

Thanks to Caren, the county was a major player in securing the Pismo Preserve, a 900-acre ocean-view and open-space parkland with 10 miles of trails for free use by the public. Prudent application of the existing Park Lands Fund assured that no additional taxes were required.

Contrast Caren’s experience and accomplishments with her opponent’s complete lack of local government involvement and paltry community service, and you will see why I am voting for Caren Ray for supervisor. You should, too.
