No DUI arrests at Cal Poly checkpoint

Cal Poly police made no DUI arrests at a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint held at the Grand Avenue campus entrance from 9 p.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday.

During the operation, 313 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, and 269 drivers were screened. Two were cited for driving without a license, and one driver under the age of 21 was arrested for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, police said.
