The Sacramento Bee editorial about bees in the June 28 paper triggered a memory.
A few months back, my wife and I, on our way up to the Bay Area along Interstate 5, struck 15 bees. Let’s say there were 20,000 vehicles on the road that day, that would equate to 300,000 bees in one day, 9 million bees in one month. Is that a possible cause of a reduced bee population?
