Our local agencies want everyone on meters to conserve, and there may be an overcharge if people go over what they should use.
That is all fine, as we have given up our back lawn and only water our trees. We are on a well, and we do conserve. We have 15 acres and have cows grazing and give them water.
Now we have neighbors that have vineyards and tasting rooms. They are pumping water night and day. They should have meters. They consider this agriculture.
This is going to be a long, hot summer, so should we all drink wine when the water is gone?
