Why don’t members of San Luis Obispo business associations (i.e. SLO Downtown Association, City Council and Business Improvement Association) practice what they preach? That being: Support local businesses owned and operated by local San Luis Obispo County residents.
It is totally unjust and equally unfair and unethical to allow Yogurtland to occupy the space on Higuera Street right across the street from longstanding Bali’s Yogurt, not to mention Yogurt Creations in the Court Street shopping complex.
Initially, I was somewhat upset about Yogurt Creations, but it seems as though both businesses are surviving each other. But now, Yogurtland right across the street from Bali’s. Come on, you guys. Yogurtland couldn’t have “eyed” Madonna Plaza? There is no yogurt there, only that yogurt shop at Laguna Shopping Center. I hope a lot of longtime SLO locals such as I feel the same way. If so, let the letters start coming. I plan to send this same letter to the Downtown Association, the Business Improvement Association and New Times.
