We of the Central Coast take great pride in the beauty of the natural surroundings of our area. It is a joy to view the ocean, admire the stately oaks, take photographs of the wildflowers, explore the canyons on horseback, lie in a meadow of grass and stare up at the sky, or hike to the top of a mountain ridge. All of this — and more — can be available to us in one parcel with the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County’s purchase of the 900 acres referred to as the Pismo Preserve.
Purchase of the land will benefit us all for years to come if we pool our donations to make the purchase happen.
There is a time deadline for acquiring the land, so don’t delay. To miss this opportunity for lack of funding would be a tragedy. If we each give what we can to the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County, it will happen. The address is P.O. Box 12206, San Luis Obispo, CA 93406.
