Does anyone honestly believe that the viticulture students at Cal Poly are not tasting their own wines? Of course they are, unless there happens to be a policeman in the room.
We are the only “developed” nation — and perhaps we would be better described as “underdeveloped” — in the world that has a law forbidding those under 21 from having a glass of wine. Our young men and women can go off to war to fight and sometimes die at age 18, but they can’t enjoy an alcoholic drink.
The pseudo-prohibitionist politicians responsible for this idiocy should be more concerned with promoting responsible drinking at any age than denying a college student a glass of chilled sauternes on a hot day.
