The Planning Committee for SLO Mini Maker Faire 2014 would like to extend our thanks to our Makers, volunteers and community for making this year’s Faire a success.
The 2nd Annual SLO Mini Maker Faire on May 10 drew a larger crowd than our first Faire in 2013 and increased our crew of creative Makers and Young Makers. The true spirit of Maker Faire is teamwork and innovation and without the collaboration of so many community organizations, SLO Mini Maker Faire 2014 could not have happened.
SLO Mini Maker Faire 2014 was co-produced by MAKE Magazine; San Luis Obispo Museum of Art; Cal Poly organizations including Center for Excellence in STEM Education, Center for Expressive Technologies and the Science Café; Cal Poly faculty and staff from the Kennedy Library, liberal arts and engineering studies, architecture, computer science, ethnic studies, materials engineering, physics, political science, and women’s and gender studies; Central Coast MakerSpace at Los Osos Middle School; CCSTEM; iFixit; SLO MakerSpace; and Sm(ART) Studio. Special thanks go out to our generous sponsors for making the event possible. A list of our sponsors is available on our website, www.slominimakerfaire.com.
