Solve water crisis

As I drove down Highway 101, thru Pismo Beach, I was looking at the vast Pacific Ocean and again only one thought rang in my head: desalinization plan.

In case no one’s noticed, we are in a record-breaking drought. The hills are gray, the trees are turning gray and there’s no end in sight. I’ve been reading about Marin County’s plans for a plant, and I know they are very expensive.

Plans should be in the works to beg, borrow or whatever, to find the funds. What about borrowing from someone like billionaire Bill Gates? If he can vaccinate a zillion Africa children, he can help an American project, can’t he?

Wineries could stop adding vineyards and chip in for water for their existing properties. There has got to be a way to solve this crisis.
