False predictions

For as long as I can remember, politicians from one of the political parties in power have been making very clearly stated economic predictions that have turned out to be false. All of them.

The sad and comical thing here is that the media does not call these politicians out for what they are: pure ideological troglodytes.

One of the main reasons, I believe, these politicians are still singing this tune is the fact that they are wholly owned by special interests. They also rely heavily on the ignorance and blind ideology of the people who vote for them.

My hope is that, as the electorate becomes more and more educated and engaged, these politicians and their economic predictions will become irrelevant, and the nation will get closer and closer to a representative democracy, as it should be.
