Coverage troubles

I submitted my online application for Covered California in a timely manner last October. The website said it had been submitted. I never received any premiums or confirmation letter in the mail. I set a password, but my password was not taken to check my status online.

I had to call customer service to get my password to be taken. I waited on phone hold for exactly one hour and 20 minutes last night. No one answered, although I was supposed to be waiting for only 30 minutes, and it was within business hours. Local insurance agents for Covered California have not been able to help me without a password.

I can and want to pay premiums, and I want health care, although it seems to me I’m being scammed into paying a penalty.
