I awoke and found that I could hardly breathe (bad heart valve). I knew I was in serious trouble and without delay I put on my robe, turned on the outside lights, unlocked the front door and dialed 911 — I could hardly give the operator my address but I managed to get it out. Within just a few minutes, the paramedics arrived and rushed me to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital emergency room.
To this day, I do not know a single name of any of these people, both men and women. No matter how long I live I will never forget their kindness and dedication to their profession — they are the true angels of this world. To all the paramedics of San Luis Obispo County and the world, thank you.
