Peter Frampton, do us all a favor and dump B.B. King from the lineup. His legend is huge, his band is great, but his performance at Vina Robles on Aug. 31 was a nightmare.
He never really played or sang a song for more than a few seconds. The audience was being tortured with his endless “bring it down a little” demands of his band, so he could be entertained by the ladies in the front row. He never “brought it up.” Everybody in the stands was grumbling. Even his band looked for some mercy. How much longer will this mumbling with the girls in the front row go on?
Play us some music. We deserved a show.
