County’s huge heart

Leslie Rodman and Muriel Harkins - Central Coast Funds for Children co-chairs

November 05, 2013 04:39 AM

Central Coast Funds for Children recently held its 22nd annual Soup Supper on Sept. 15, and as a drive-through it proved to be very successful.

Our theme this year was “You Make Dreams Come True,” and our community will make many dreams come true for children in our county.

This success would not have been possible without the generous donations of local businesses and many individuals. The group’s effort raised more than $11,000.

Central Coast Funds for Children is a nonprofit group of 30 ladies dedicated to raising money to grant to organizations whose only propriety is helping our county’s children. This is a huge thank you to our many friends and members with huge hearts, who donated items and time to our successful event.

We have a socialistic Democratic Party made up of a group of elitists who hide their need for big experiences under a veneer of false compassion, says Larry Bargenquast of Paso Robles.
