In his Feb. 25 letter to the editor, Fred Maurice was sharply critical of the president and the first lady regarding their vacations.
Some pesky details for Mr. Maurice to consider: President Obama took 83 vacation days in his first term (on track for 166 days in two terms). President George W. Bush spent 297 days in two terms at his Crawford, Texas, ranch, and President Ronald Reagan spent a whopping 349 days at his Santa Barbara ranch during his eight years in office.
It should also be noted that President Obama doesn’t have a ranch to visit, and all presidents are transported on Air Force One.
