Offended by remarks

When people do not have a good argument to present, they will often resort to name calling and character assassination. This is exactly what Supervisor Adam Hill has done in his remarks directed at Bill Thoma. As a member of the San Luis Obispo business community and past elected official, I am personally offended by Mr. Hill’s remarks.

Every person in this city who has been involved in community issues knows Bill Thoma and his unwavering allegiance to the community. Bill has donated un-countable hours (and dollars) to community projects, not the least of which was the construction of the Prado Day Center.

We may have disagreements about the how, where and whys of a project, but to stoop to slanderous name calling is reprehensible. Adam — shape up, and apologize.
