Recently transplanted from Los Angeles, I am happy every day to have found this amazing community. Yes, the weather is wonderful, the landscape is spectacular and it’s easy to get around. But the people are what make this a really special place.
Last week, I left a folder with my will, trust and personal information in a shopping cart at El Rancho Marketplace in Pismo Beach. It was gone when I went back. But the employees at El Rancho immediately stepped up to help, fanning out to ask all of the shops in the plaza if anyone had found it.
The folks at First American Title, where I was going on business, joined in the hunt. When it didn’t turn up, I went home to start making phone calls. When I got home, I had a voice mail from a friend in town. She had my folder. A very good Samaritan had found it, recognized my friend’s name on one of the papers and dropped it off at her house.
I am so grateful for the kindness and generosity I experience every day in my new community. Thank you!
