Recently, there was a “Back to Church Sunday,” and I would like to follow up on it:
There are many reasons people give up on going to church, but I think we forget that there are many “flavors” of Christianity, and this might be a good time to sample another flavor.
Most people who attend church say that it has made a huge difference in their lives. They return home from church with a good, wholesome feeling and many times are very encouraged and enriched by their experience. We really do need the faith and strength to deal with the many difficulties in this economy and politically challenging time. Christian teachings are a great help, but friendships and fellowship are also huge in dealing with life’s many difficulties and disappointments.
Pick out a new church if you want, maybe even one in your neighborhood, and give it a new try this Sunday.
