Letter: Germ-ridden bags

Here’s a suggestion from proponents of the plastic bag ban: “Just keep your reusable bags in your trunk.” Trunks are incubators for bacteria. New bags mean no risk. Even if you are clean with your bags, you will certainly consume food from others’ bags, some of which have been found to be clinically dirtier than a public toilet.
