Re: Zaf Iqbal (“Ammunition, gun sale limits are necessary,” Pro/Con, Aug. 19): You ask about cultural change. I believe it all started when the wooden spoon was thrown away and “no, no, honey, you can’t do that” started.
The discipline of children went down, and society is now suffering. No one was held accountable because you could not punish without fear of government stepping in. Everyone’s hands were tied, parents, teachers, etc.
Again, the voice of a few caused what I feel is a big problem.
