I’ve been meaning to write this since attending the fair this year and the article that fair attendance was down has spurred me onto it.
I went to the fair twice this year as there were two different acts I wished to see. Both times, the rude obnoxious drunks around us were a major distraction. They can’t stay in their seats, having to refill their beer purchases, and are constantly climbing over you (the seats in the stands are not that roomy). They are either conversing with each other or on their cellphones. I couldn’t figure out why they bothered coming in. Then there are the ones who have to sing along with the singer.
Hey I do it, too in the privacy of my own vehicle I don’t subject others to my voice, and I didn’t pay the healthy fee for seats to listen to these drunk unknowns. That brings up another subject, seats.
I paid for seats, but for some strange reason everyone seems to think you need to stand.

I am offering a solution. Please make a section for us “geezers” who pay to be seated, see and hear the featured entertainment. I’d pay extra for this amenity, and it could even be in the rear of the venue.
Sorry to say, I probably won’t be coming to the fair again for the entertainment.
