Regarding Thursday’s front-page story about the improvements to the sidewalks and curbs in downtown Paso Robles: Bravo to our city! These improvements will make life easier for numerous people with mobility and vision impairments, including those who use walkers or canes, or who may have losses because of aging.
Despite the fact that the work being done is the result of a lawsuit brought by two courageous folks who chose to speak up when they experienced a problem, the changes will send the message to visitors and residents that all are welcome downtown. Thank you for featuring such a positive development in our community, and let’s hope that other cities in San Luis Obispo County decide to follow suit.
