NASA and JPL are America’s crown jewels. As MSL, a flying saucer, carried Curiosity to its distant and tiny target, I wondered at the courage and commitment of so many brilliant people in these government agencies. They have demonstrated, over and over again, the positive futures that can be ours if we stop bickering among ourselves. They remind us of bright new futures that lie ahead, in this grand and glorious universe and on this beautiful planet.
NASA’s greatest challenge may be to teach us all about strategies of cooperation and problem solving.
