It is too bad that The Tribune’s Editorial Board did not ask the city of Morro Bay and the Cayucos Sanitary District whether they had any comments about the California Coastal Commission’s staff report regarding the proposed wastewater treatment plant prior to writing the editorial that appeared in the Aug. 5 paper.
If they would have taken the time to ask for a response to the CCC report, the city of Morro Bay and the Cayucos Sanitary District would have sent a very lengthy rebuttal correcting a number of errors. Some of those inaccuracies were carried over into The Tribune’s editorial.
Based on the slant of The Tribune’s editorial writers, I doubt it would have changed their conclusion, but at least facts would have been correct.
