The Paso Robles Fourth of July Fireworks and Celebration at Barney Schwartz Park, Paso Blast 2012, was a huge success. With at least 6,000 people at the park and many thousands more viewing the fireworks from nearby and distant sites, we celebrated the 236th birthday of our great nation.
We wish to thank the over 60 corporate and individual donors who contributed funds, the 100-plus volunteers and organizations who worked tirelessly before, during and after the Fourth, and the 15 generous in-kind donations that helped make this patriotic celebration a fun, family event. We greatly appreciate the city of Paso Robles’ support from Public Works, Police Department, and Emergency Services personnel (the city will be reimbursed for their costs).
We also wish to thank WWII fighter pilot Maj. Charles Dills and the 20 military veterans, retirees and active-duty personnel, who formed up with Troop 60 to salute the Stars and Stripes and lead everyone in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
It was a wonderful evening as all Americans celebrated our nation.
