(Regarding “Drought puts food at risk, Obama administration warns,” July 19): It sounds to me like this is an issue surrounding farmed animals. It takes a tremendous amount of water to grow corn and soybean crops, which are used to feed many of them.
Farmed animals, too, need tremendous amounts of water. The massive amount of water it takes to produce small amounts of food is not sustainable.
