Letter: He's a prize, all right

Paul Krugman is defended by Mark Hoffman (Letters, June 13.)

Appealing to “authority” (Krugman’s Nobel Prize) proves Mark does not know what Krugman got the prize for!

Saying Keynesian economics got us out of the Great Depression is depressing. Roosevelt’s Keynesian moves weakened us and kept us in the Depression until World War II changed the economy to war footings.

After World War II, the Keynesian ideas were abandoned, much of the New Deal was thrown out and the economy boomed!

I’ve read Krugman for as long as he has written and noticed he has been wrong at least 90 percent of the time.

Learn about classical Austrian economics and you will better understand the economic world. Embrace Krugman’s ideas and become Greece!
