Letter: Save education

The Tribune recently ran a series on the state of public education in the county, bemoaning the lack of revenue and encouraging the Brown tax hike in November. Thoughtful and courageous people will not be boondoggled into more tax hikes. Public education has notoriously wasted money for years. It is the largest portion of the budget.

For a template on how to make education work, one needs to look no further than private schools. They are not teetering on collapse. We all know the difference between the two ... the California Teachers Association.

Get rid of that and save education in California.
