A plea for help to find cat
My 10-year-old cat was mauled by a dog in my front yard. She appeared to have mortal wounds, yet escaped help.
I have placed an ad in The Tribune. I filled out a lost pet report at Animal Services. I have visited there frequently to look for her and check its deceased list. I have called its hotline daily and have placed fliers around my neighborhood.
She is black and chubby with a frayed red collar. If you have found a deceased cat fitting this description, I would be consoled if you placed an anonymous free “Found’’ ad in The Tribune. I understand if you have disposed of her body.
Thank you for your kindness.

McCarthy is in the wrong
As I watched Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s behavior all over the national news last week, it became more clear to me than ever that he is not qualified to fill the seat of the 22nd District in the House.
Showing the violent film clip to motivate his party was the wrong choice. And sponsoring a bill that virtually repeals the 1964 Wilderness Act without showing it and explaining it to the people of this district first was also wrong.
Government in the United States is for and by the people, not for and by politicians and corporate interests.
