Letters to the Editor: On the Kristin Smart Case

Please reinvestigate

I would like to urge the new sheriff, Ian Parkinson, to please, please actively investigate the disappearance of Kristin Smart. She has been missing for 15 years now, and a day, a night, an hour, a minute does not go by in which her family and friends still feel the pain.

Her loss is as real as the day she disappeared. Her memory needs to be kept alive and the person who did this needs to be brought to justice. I am pleading with you to please consider how much it would mean to the people who knew Smart if they could have answers to this unthinkable crime committed against their daughter/sister/friend.

I hope that you can find it in your heart to make it a priority as you take office in January. We need your support and ask that you please have compassion for the Smart family’s loss and help them to find answers.

New sheriff, new hope

With a new sheriff comes a fresh outlook, resources and hope. My hope, and the hope of many others, is that the Kristin Smart case is continuously being reviewed and looked at and information is being gathered so her case can be solved.
