I have restrained myself from writing a letter to The Tribune lately, even though there have been many subjects that required my response.
Today, after starting to read Paul Krugman’s commentary (“The blackmail caucus, aka the Republican Party,” Aug. 29), I couldn’t let it go unchallenged. I know the liberal Tribune will print any letter or commentary by anyone willing to trash conservatives, but Krugman takes the cake.
Paul Krugman is a classic case of everything now wrong with America. He lives in a parallel universe where he believes Barack Obama has been a good president, that huge deficits and debt are a good thing and that all we need are more liberal progressives in government, despite the fact that it is liberal policies that are bringing the country down.
Krugman likes to attack “right-wing extremism,” but really the liberals have taken the Democratic Party so far left, toward socialism, that ordinary conservatives are labeled extreme.

If the general public were told the truth by the liberal news media, about what is really going on in this world, Obama would never have been elected, and Hillary Clinton would not be electable!
