Our children are being slaughtered and we have done very little to prevent it from happening. I have three grandchildren in local elementary schools, and a daughter and son-in-law who are teachers locally. For me to sit back and say nothing or do nothing would be unconscionable.
I want our politicians to make reduction of gun violence a priority.
Congressman Kevin McCarthy, stop wasting time and money on Benghazi. Ignore the gun lobby, and make reducing gun violence a top priority.
Statistics show a majority of Americans want common-sense gun laws enacted. So maybe it’s long past time for a march on Washington, D.C., and Sacramento. Mothers, fathers and grandparents, our children are being brutally murdered.

Let’s stop letting our legislators get away with ignoring this issue. Let’s vote out any politician who refuses to tackle this complicated problem.
Don’t fall into the trap of believing that it can’t happen here. It would be better to believe that it will happen here. Maybe when we understand that domestic terrorism in our local schools is a credible threat, then we will be moved to do something — anything.
