We’re looking forward to the fun new bowling alley in downtown San Luis Obispo and we’re happy it’s coming (“SLO bowling project to move ahead,” Sept. 17). Thank you, City Council and investors.
Yes, it’s got a bar inside, but it doesn’t mean you have to be supporting that aspect. Same small group of people complaining about this that we usually hear from. Would you rather another chain brand store open instead? That’s all that can afford that huge space.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times; if you don’t want this-that-and-the-other-thing in downtown, then get out and solicit what you do want to have open, and get them in.
Downtown is thriving and better than ever because of the broad array of businesses there now, thanks in part to chain names, and the council being open to all possibilities.
