I was listening to the nightly news, and they were reporting on a family of five with medical problems. Two family members had Type 2 diabetes. As a result, the family decided to rid the pantry of all sugar-related products.
It is not necessarily the fault of the family for their medical problems, as we are set up by the companies that make our foodstuffs to become addicted to them. Many of the products we buy have harmful ingredients, particularly sugar, in them.
Of course we have to make intelligent choices, but the interests that be — the companies and corporations that produce our food — purposely add ingredients (MSG) that we become addicted to because they taste good.
Remember the tobacco companies that kept increasing the nicotine content to addict more and more of us?
They are not interested in our health, unfortunately, but our wallets.
America is full of unhealthy, and in many cases, diabetic people. And it is getting worse every year.
The consumer must start saying no to the obnoxious advertisements we are bombarded with every minute of every day.
We need to stand up for ourselves, our families and our children. Just say no to corporate America, and live healthier.
