I don’t know any man alive who is as kind, loving, giving, caring and generous as was Botso Korisheli, founder of the San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony.
He was beyond any example of how a man could live up to his potential as a human being.
Throughout his entire life, this incredible man among men just kept going and going, giving to people, music, sculpture and, most importantly, his family.
I sculpted with Korisheli on Sundays for the past two years. We always ended our sessions telling each other, “I love you.”

As Scott Mann, Korisheli’s friend and fellow student of mine, related, Korisheli’s mother told him she would always come back to visit him as a butterfly after her death.
So when you see a butterfly now, smile at Korisheli and remember he made the world a much better place!
