Polarizing flag

Regarding the July 5 letter, “S.C. should keep flag up”:

In his letter published in The Tribune, a prominent citizen of Los Osos quotes: “Knee-jerk liberal friends,” “mindless,” “trendy bandwagon,” “thoughtless,” “black and white,” “bad and good,” “hundreds of thousands.” It seems ironic that these cliché terms flow so freely from a person who plans on purchasing a Confederate flag.

Slur after slur, he learned to repeat from his favorite political pundit. He exercises his constitutional right of freedom of speech and defends his judgment about his freedom to fly a Confederate flag.

He points out that historically, it was the Democratic Party that rallied behind it in the first place.

So, he’s an unrepentant Democrat, right?

Let freedom reign and polarization multiply.
