If we are to have a free country, we must accept the risk of citizen gun ownership up to, and including, fully automatic weapons.
If we do not accept this risk a dictatorship is inevitable. We know this; history does not deceive us, not ever. America is a special country that will remain free as long as its citizens are armed.
We accept the risk of autos (cars). We love our autos, yet autos kill far, far more children, women and men then guns, by a long shot. Our autos give us freedom. We would not dream of giving them up. Our government — not a peep out of it about taking our autos away for our own good.
So then why does our government want our guns, that in reality are safer than our autos? I just told you why.
