Andrea Seastrand’s controversial column on the worthiness of Dan Dow deserving another term when he can’t even do his job now is presumptuous.
Hopefully, Andrew Holland’s family will weigh in and tell the story of the County Jail torturing their son to death. Where’s the investigation that we should expect from our county DA?
This really seems like a coverup. When there are three stages of prevention of deaths in our jail — oversight by the sheriff, oversight by the DA and oversight by the Board of Supervisors majority — where is the outrage when all three fail to do their jobs?
There is no reason our County Jail should be killing people. As long as there is no investigation into this atrocity, then there is no reason Dan Dow deserves another term, there is no reason Ian Parkinson deserves another term and there is no reason Lynn Compton deserves another term. As Marcellus said in Hamlet, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.”

Three deserving candidates would like to rectify the damages done by this coverup; Jimmy Paulding (supervisor), Greg Clayton (sheriff) and Mike Cummins (DA). Let’s elect these three and put some justice back into this county.
