I picked up my granddaughter from high school two days after the Florida school shooting. I didn’t hear the usual laughing and chatter as the students poured out of the school. Instead everyone was quite somber.
I couldn’t help thinking of the grandmothers who couldn’t pick up their grandchildren from school. Instead, they picked them up from the hospital or, worse yet, from the morgue!
How long are the grandparents and parents and all Americans going to let this horrific violence go on? When are we going to demand that Congress take serious action. We must stop children from having access to guns. We must stop everyone from carrying an AR-15 like it is a hunting rifle. These guns are for war — not hunting or target practice! Please call or write your member of Congress and demand action now!
