I was raised by my parents to be honest, to treat others the way that I want to be treated, and to respect others even those that are different from me.
In the pre-Trump era, these values were Judeo-Christian social norms that were passed down from generation to generation. I continue to believe that having these values is important, despite what President Donald Trump, his family members, and administration officials believe and have have said and done. Having these values gives me solace in these dark times.
My integrity is not for sale, it does not weaken in the face of fear or when confronted by hate — it only grows stronger.
