The Mid-State Fair and Ticketmaster would have you believe that more than 14,000 tickets for the Garth Brooks show were sold out in 30 seconds. I find this hard to believe as being accurate. Prior to the sales date, Tom Keffury, Mid-State Fair spokesman, stated that you should only buy tickets from Ticketmaster. This was stated in a Tribune article dated June 22. Now, secondary ticket sites are offering these tickets for far more than face value.

Fairgoers are being ripped off. It is time to resist such sales activities and boycott the Mid-State Fair for their sales procedures that resulted in this unbelievable situation for fairgoers.
