Showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in higher elevations of the county are expected to continue into Monday evening. Between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of rain is forecast, Lindsey said.

Cooler and dry weather will return Tuesday with chilly mornings that are likely to be the coolest of the season so far, he said.
