Like other school systems, Paso Robles Public Schools is facing a budget crisis because of reduced state funding, and as a result it has been having to make cuts to various school programs and services.
Compounding the district’s money woes, other challenges ahead include declining enrollment — which also leads to reduced funding — and more state cuts expected.
