Local Democrats are sponsoring “debate parties” at which interested voters can watch the presidential and vice presidential debates together and then discuss them.
Debate gatherings will be held at the Creekside Mobile Home Park Community Room, 3960 S. Higuera St., San Luis Obispo.
The second debate, a town hall-style session, is Oct. 16. The final debate, on foreign policy, is Oct. 22. GOP running mate Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden have scheduled one debate Thursday.
Local party chairwoman Pat Harris says “the debates could be a major factor for those who are still undecided.”
