Clift resigned effective Oct. 1, after having served on the board since he was appointed in 2008 and subsequently being elected to the post twice. He said at the board’s Sept. 24 meeting that he regretted having to leave, but “reasons of personal obligations and plans” mean he and wife Vicki Clift will be moving from their present Cambria home, which they intend to sell.
