The first meeting to plan this year’s Sagebrush Days and Parade is slated for Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at the San Miguel Mercantile downtown.
Mike Sanders and Miki Landseadel are heading the committee, and everyone who enjoys getting together to put on a town event is welcome to attend the meeting, newcomers and old-timers alike.
The agenda includes setting the date and event calendar for the day, sending invitations, coordinating tasks and putting out the publicity.
Sagebrush Days is a longtime popular tradition in town and a lot of fun (and work, but that’s fun too). For more information, contact Mike at 712-9120 or Miki at 975-6996.
Lions Fish Fry
The popular San Miguel Lions Fish Fry dinners will begin on the first Friday of Lent, Feb. 24, and will be held every Friday of Lent through April 6.
From 4:30 to 7 p.m., the Lions will serve up delicious fish and chips with cole slaw and ice cream. Soft drinks and water are available for just $1.
Enjoy a meal with your friends and neighbors from all over the area at a table in the San Miguel Community Center on K Street behind the library.
Dinners may also be taken to go.
The Celebration of Life for Fred Thacker is slated for Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Estrella Warbirds Museum, 4251 Dry Creek Road in Paso Robles.
