The annual Old Timers Picnic hosted by the San Miguel Lions Club will be held Sunday, Aug. 26, from noon to 2 p.m. at the San Miguel Park on K Street.
This long-running tradition is enjoyed by many descendants of early pioneer families and new families alike. It is the first event for this year’s Pioneer Day Royalty. The Lions are well known for the best chicken barbecue in the area, and those over 80 years of age are treated to a free meal.
